Komandoo is a small island in Lhaviyani Atoll, a forty-minute seaplane flight from Malé. A strip of sand 500 by 200 metres, about ten hectares, with a kilometre of beach around it — and 65 villas, the only resort on the island.
The island takes adults only, aged 18 and over. The resort calls itself the Maldives’ only truly adults-only resort and builds everything around quiet: the evening programme is deliberately unobtrusive, there is almost nothing motorised on the water, and instead there is an infinity pool, hammocks and an empty beach.
The house reef runs around the whole island. Lhaviyani Atoll holds one of the largest turtle populations in the Maldives — dozens of hawksbill and green turtles have been recorded on Komandoo’s house reef, and the nearby Kuredu Caves site is home to more than sixty. The dive centre on the island is Prodivers: a PADI 5 Star school with more than fifty dive sites across Lhaviyani and the neighbouring Noonu Atoll, courses from Discover Scuba Diving to Rescue Diver, and nitrox at no extra charge. Mantas come through from November to March, and the protected Kuredu Express channel next door draws sharks, rays and schooling jacks.
There are two restaurants: Falhu, the buffet with six live cooking stations and a different theme every night, and Aqua, the à la carte restaurant on stilts over the lagoon with just twelve seats. Two bars as well — Kandu by the pool and the beachside Thundi on the south shore. Destination dining is a speciality: dinner in the jungle, on the sand, in the shallows or in your villa.
Komandoo guests can also dine at 5.8 Undersea Restaurant, the underwater restaurant at the sister island of Hurawalhi, minutes away.
No markup
You pay exactly the rate the resort publishes. On top of that, only the actual bank costs of currency conversion and the international transfer — no commission of ours.
We run the deal
Correspondence with the resort, holding the room, the contract, booking confirmation and all paperwork are on our side. There is nothing for you to arrange yourself.
Card payment
We accept payment by card through Stripe and issue an invoice. The transfer to the resort is our job — you do not have to find a way to pay abroad.

At the resort
Diving and snorkelling
The dive centre is run by Prodivers, a separate company. Diving is not part of any meal plan and is priced separately. The resort does not allow diving within 24 hours of a departure flight.
Dining
The All-Inclusive Plus plan is optional. It covers drinks by the glass, afternoon tea at Kandu Bar, a 20 % discount on food at Aqua and one dinner at Aqua for every five nights of the stay. The Aqua page, meanwhile, states that the restaurant is included in the plan outright — the discrepancy is recorded in the source snapshot.

When to go
Getting there
The international airport is Malé (MLE). From there it is a 40-minute seaplane flight with Trans Maldivian Airways straight to the resort. Seaplanes fly in daylight only, roughly 06:00 to 18:00, and the last flight to Komandoo usually leaves no later than 16:00 — a late arrival means an overnight stay in Malé at your own cost.
The seaplane baggage allowance is 20 kg checked and 5 kg hand luggage; excess is US$5 per kilo plus tax. The transfer is not included in the villa rate.
