3 room types · More than 30 dive sites · house reef
Angaga is a small island in South Ari Atoll, 85 kilometres from Malé airport. It covers about 42,000 square metres — just over four hectares — and you can walk around it in a few minutes. The resort has the island to itself: 94 bungalows, 50 on the beach and 44 over the water on two jetties.
The house reef runs around the entire island and starts a few metres from the shore. The resort calls it one of the best house reefs in the Maldives: schools of snappers, soldierfish and batfish, stingrays, turtles and reef sharks. Entry is from the main jetty.
Diving is run by SUB AQUA DiveCenter, a German PADI school that has been on the island for decades. Its defining feature: after an orientation dive, experienced divers may dive the house reef unguided and without any limit on the number of dives, and nitrox is free of charge for certified divers. Fluo diving and night dives are on offer too.
There are more than thirty dive sites around, two of them seven to eight minutes away by boat: Angaga Thila and the famous Kuda Rah Thila with its archway and overhangs. At 25 metres off neighbouring Machchafushi lies the Kudhi Maa, a ship sunk in 1999 — a wreck with opened cargo holds, batfish and lionfish. Mantas gather at the Madivaru cleaning station from November to April.
South Ari is the best-known place in the Maldives to find whale sharks year round. The resort runs both dive and snorkel trips to them.
Dining is a buffet at the single restaurant, Dolphin, with a Maldivian night every Tuesday. There are two bars: the Main Bar with its coffee shop and live music on Saturdays, and the Sundown Bar on stilts over the water. The Thai spa, Duny, stands over the water too.
Half board is included in every package; full board, half board plus and all-inclusive are bought separately.
No markup
You pay exactly the rate the resort publishes. On top of that, only the actual bank costs of currency conversion and the international transfer — no commission of ours.
We run the deal
Correspondence with the resort, holding the room, the contract, booking confirmation and all paperwork are on our side. There is nothing for you to arrange yourself.
Card payment
We accept payment by card through Stripe and issue an invoice. The transfer to the resort is our job — you do not have to find a way to pay abroad.
Support all the way
We help you choose the room and dates, work out the dive package, answer questions about flights and gear, and stay in touch until you are home.
The exact amount is confirmed when we hold your booking: it includes the resort's rate at the day's exchange rate plus the actual transfer costs. No hidden fees.
