Day-by-Day Programme

Arrival in Hanoi, hotel, rest. The next day — sightseeing tour: Hanoi Citadel, St. Joseph's Cathedral, Hoan Kiem Lake (Lake of the Restored Sword), Temple of Literature, Tran Quoc Pagoda — the symbol of Vietnam's capital. The Old Quarter with small temples, street vendors, French-style buildings, coffee shops and street food. Ba Dinh Square with the mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Museum. Hoa Lo Prison — built by the French; during the Vietnam War it held American prisoners of war.

One of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World, UNESCO — an archipelago of over 3,000 islands rising from the emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. 2 days cruising on a comfortable yacht. Stops at the bay's most beautiful spots, kayaking, swimming. Climb to a viewing platform. Sung Sot Cave ("Surprise Cave") — a massive and majestic karst cave.

Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam — the political and cultural centre until 1010. A 300-hectare area with fortresses and scenic mountains. Bai Dinh Temple Complex: a giant bronze Buddha statue (10 m) and the country's largest bell. Boat trip through Trang An National Park (UNESCO) — stunningly beautiful lotus fields and picturesque rice terraces.

Hang Mua Mountain — several viewing platforms with stunning bird's-eye views of Ninh Binh. A climb up 500 steep steps — a great adventure. Lunch by the river. Return to Hanoi. Free evening; local spa and massage recommended.

Flight to Siem Reap — the gateway to the temples of Angkor. Hotel, rest. In the evening — dinner and a Khmer Apsara Dance show (Royal Ballet of Cambodia). The school has existed for over 1,000 years. Apsaras in Hindu mythology are nymphs of clouds and waters. The golden tiara weighs up to 5 kg. Khmer ballet is part of Cambodia's cultural heritage.

A full day at the temples of Angkor. A vast national park with numerous temples and palaces. Ta Prohm — tree-covered ruins from the film 'Tomb Raider'. Bayon Temple — hundreds of sandstone faces. The main temple, Angkor Wat — a symbol of national pride, featured on Cambodia's flag since 1863. The greatest temple complex in the world: 200 hectares, 65 m high, built in the 12th century. Legend has it that it inspired Kipling to write 'The Jungle Book'.

Kulen National Park in the mountain range of the same name — the most beautiful and sacred place in Cambodia, a "place of power". The sacred River of a Thousand Lingas. A waterfall of incredible beauty — swimming possible. Phnom Kulen Temple (16th century) — a revered pilgrimage site.

Flight to Bangkok. Overnight stay, next day — direct flight to Moscow.
