Day-by-Day Programme

Arrival on Mahé, the main island of the archipelago. Transfer to Victoria port and boarding the Emerald Kaia boutique yacht. Meet the crew, settle into your cabin, enjoy champagne on the upper deck. In the afternoon we sail to the Sainte-Anne strait. Please plan arrival by 13:00.

Morning in the Sainte-Anne marine national park — snorkelling among 150+ species of fish in an important hawksbill turtle nesting area. After lunch we land on Cousin, a private nature reserve. Eleven species of seabirds nest here, along with Seychelles endemics. Overnight at anchor near Praslin.

The second largest of the Seychelles dazzles with its contrasts of jungle and beach. Anse Lazio beach has repeatedly been named the world's best: white sand, granite boulders, crystal-clear water. At the centre of the island — the UNESCO-listed Vallée de Mai reserve with the endemic coco-de-mer palm and the rare black parrot.

In the morning — the smallest of the inhabited Seychelles, La Digue. The famous Anse Source d'Argent beach with its pinkish sand and epic granite sculptures is one of the most photographed landscapes in the world. The island is explored by bicycle. In the evening we cross to Curieuse.

A rocky island covered in untouched nature and home to hundreds of giant Aldabra tortoises — you meet them in nearly every bay. The former French colonial doctor's house is now a museum. In the evening on board — the festive New Year gala dinner and ringing in the New Year under the stars of the Indian Ocean.

A nature reserve in the Indian Ocean. Nature lovers and wildlife photographers flock here — the island hosts more than 30 rare bird species, including the endemic Seychelles warbler. Small sandy beaches, coconut palms, high cliffs. Snorkelling in the coastal waters.

Return to the main island. The capital Victoria greets you with the flavour of French and British colonial history — the Sir Selwyn Selwyn-Clarke market, a mini Big Ben, the botanical garden. In Morne Seychellois National Park — shaded trails and bird's-eye ocean views.

Cabin check-out at 8:00, disembarkation at 10:00. From the yacht you'll be transferred to the airport for your flight home or to continue your stay at one of Mahé's resorts. Please book your departure flight after 11:00.

Emerald Kaia — the brand-new boutique yacht (launched 2024), the second in the Emerald Yacht Cruises line. 110 m long, 128 guests in spacious cabins from 21 to 131 m². All suites feature panoramic windows or balconies. On board: a main restaurant, the Asian Night Market Grill, bars and lounges, an observation deck, spa, gym, open-air pool, jacuzzi, and a marina platform with water activities (kayaks, paddleboards, water slides) and an English-speaking shore-excursion manager.

Climate
Tropical hot and even thanks to proximity to the equator. Late December — early January is the most comfortable season: the northwest monsoon weakens, the sea is calm, rain is brief. Air +28–30°C by day, +25°C at night. Water +28°C.

Location
115 islands in the Indian Ocean northeast of Madagascar. The route covers the inner granite islands — Mahé, Praslin, La Digue, Curieuse, Cousin, Aride, Sainte-Anne.

Visa
Russian citizens — no visa required (up to 90 days). Passport valid for at least 6 months. At the border — return ticket and booking confirmation.

The route is indicative and may be adjusted for weather or operational reasons. Strict environmental rules on board — do not break coral, collect shells, or touch tortoises. Snorkelling gear is available on board.
