Day-by-Day Programme

On arrival we are met at the airport and taken to the hotel. After some rest and breakfast — exploring the capital, where Ottoman architecture, French heritage and the modern rhythm of North Africa intertwine. The Monument of Glory and Memory with its panoramic view over the city, Emir Abdelkader Square, the famous neo-Moorish Grande Poste, the Notre-Dame d'Afrique basilica, the legendary Casbah (UNESCO heritage) and the Mustapha Pasha Palace.
After breakfast — a drive along the scenic Mediterranean coast. On the way we visit the Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania, the tomb of King Juba II and Cleopatra Selene. Then Tipaza, one of the most beautiful ancient cities of North Africa: the ruins of a Roman city right by the sea. Lunch in a restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean. In Cherchell — the archaeological museum with its collection of Roman mosaics. In the evening, a flight to Djanet, the gateway to the great Sahara.
After breakfast we set off into Tassili n'Ajjer National Park — one of the most striking desert regions in the world. The route runs through ancient wadis, sandstone massifs and fantastic rock forms shaped by the wind over thousands of years. By evening we reach the first camp in the desert. Dinner and a night under the starry sky of the Sahara.
Today we continue exploring the Tadrart desert massif. Along the way we see ancient Neolithic rock paintings and engravings — images of giraffes, elephants and scenes from the life of the people who inhabited these lands thousands of years ago. The landscapes gradually shift: the sands take on shades from silvery-grey to deep pink. We settle into camp for dinner and rest among the dunes.
Today brings one of the most spectacular places in the Sahara — the dunes of Tin-Merzouga. We drive across white plateaus, giant sand waves and curious rock massifs. In the afternoon we reach the legendary pink dunes. For those who wish, a climb to the top of a dune at sunset. In the evening, dinner at the desert camp and a night under an incredible starry sky.
After breakfast we continue our journey through the stone canyons and labyrinths of Tisikta. This day is about silence, the scale of the desert and the feeling of being completely cut off from civilisation. Along the route there are stops for walks, photographs and a picnic among the desert landscapes. Dinner and a night in camp.
Today we complete our Sahara expedition. On the way back we visit the famous rock engraving of the Weeping Cow — one of the best-known symbols of the Tassili region. After returning to Djanet, there is time to rest and prepare for the night flight. Late in the evening — departure for Constantine.
Early in the morning we arrive in Constantine — one of the most unusual cities in North Africa. The city sits above deep gorges and is linked by spectacular suspension bridges, which is why it is called the city of bridges. During the tour we see the Ahmed Bey Palace, the famous bridges over the canyon, the Cirta National Museum and the Emir Abdelkader Mosque. In the evening — rest at the hotel.
We devote this day to a deeper acquaintance with the city and its atmosphere. Walks through the old quarters, panoramic views of the gorges, local cafés and the chance to feel the completely different rhythm of eastern Algeria. Free time to rest, take photographs and explore the city at a leisurely pace.
After breakfast we head to Djémila — one of the best-preserved Roman cities in North Africa, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Among mountain landscapes we see the ancient forum, temples and basilicas, triumphal arches and magnificent Roman mosaics. After the tour — a drive to Sétif and check-in at the hotel.
Today we travel to Annaba — one of the country's most beautiful coastal cities. We visit the Basilica of St Augustine, ancient Hippo Regius, the scenic waterfront and Cap de Garde with its magnificent views of the Mediterranean. This day is a beautiful close to the journey: the sea, history and the atmosphere of Mediterranean Algeria. A night at a hotel in Annaba.
In the morning — a flight to Algiers. After arrival, free time to rest, take a last walk or have lunch before the international departure. In the evening — transfer to the airport and the flight home.
