TL

The resort takes up the whole island — fourteen acres of coral called Little Caye Bokel, on the southern elbow of Turneffe Atoll, an hour and a half by boat from Belize City. There are no neighbours: 26 rooms, more staff than guests and the Caribbean in every direction.

The place has history. The Maya lived here, pirates worked the atoll, a fishing camp appeared in 1941 and in 1962 this became Belize’s first island fishing lodge. Three of its original buildings still stand; one family has owned the resort since 2001, and a pool and a line of villas along the white beach have joined the old houses since.

Guests stay in timber rooms lined with mahogany and teak, from the Deluxe rooms beside the docks to villas with their own heated infinity pool on the veranda. Every room has a screened veranda and an outdoor shower.

Everything is all-inclusive: the transfer from Belize City and back, three hot meals, coffee at your door before dawn, hors d’oeuvres by the pool at six, a Friday barbecue with hermit crab races and a Belizean dinner on Sundays. Alcohol is separate, by package or by the drink.

The activity is chosen apart from the room: diving, snorkelling, fly fishing or nothing at all. The dive centre runs five dive masters and 32 sites — from the wreck of the Sayonara to the famous Elbow, many of them minutes away. On Tuesdays a boat leaves for a full day at the Great Blue Hole: the resort is the first to drop anchor there each week, because boats out of Belize City have twice as far to come.

No markup

You pay exactly the rate the resort publishes. On top of that, only the actual bank costs of currency conversion and the international transfer — no commission of ours.

We run the deal

Correspondence with the resort, holding the room, the contract, booking confirmation and all paperwork are on our side. There is nothing for you to arrange yourself.

Card payment

We accept payment by card through Stripe and issue an invoice. The transfer to the resort is our job — you do not have to find a way to pay abroad.

Support all the way

We help you choose the room and dates, work out the dive package, answer questions about flights and gear, and stay in touch until you are home.

The exact amount is confirmed when we hold your booking: it includes the resort's rate at the day's exchange rate plus the actual transfer costs. No hidden fees.

The Great Blue Hole is a full day out: the sinkhole itself, 125 metres deep with stalactites at forty, then Half Moon Caye with its red-footed booby colony and the Long Caye wall. Dives outside a package are sold on the island, subject to space, with a two-diver minimum. Water sits around 28 °C year round. The island is tropical and warm all year, with water around 28 °C. The boat runs on Wednesdays and Saturdays, which is why stays come in three, four and seven nights. A summer promotion gives seven nights for the price of four — arrivals 18 July to 31 October 2026, Saturdays only, book by 2 October 2026, paid in full and non-refundable. There is no cell service on the island, and the internet is satellite and weather-dependent. Rooms have no televisions.

Getting there

Fly internationally to Belize City (BZE). A greeter meets you outside the terminal with a sign, takes the luggage and drives you to the Fort George marina in the resort’s own bus.

The boat leaves Wednesdays and Saturdays at 14:30 and takes an hour and a half. A welcome cocktail and a cold mint towel come aboard with you. If your flight runs late and you miss it, the resort will arrange a private transfer for $450 each way.

While you wait for the boat you can sit at the Fort George hotel — pool for a fee, Wi-Fi free — or take a Belize City tour, which the resort will arrange.

There is also a helicopter: three routes, with a flight over the barrier reef thrown in. The price is quoted at booking; for the Presidential Villa a one-way flight for four is already included.

Cash is not needed on the island — everything goes on the room and is settled at the end; Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted. Outlets are US-style, 110 V. Power is the island’s own: solar panels and two backup generators.
