TL

Barefoot Cay is a private islet off the south shore of Roatán, separated from it by a channel 26 metres wide. A step-on pontoon ferry crosses it around the clock: two minutes to the mainland, ten more by car to the airport.

The resort is deliberately small. Nine villas stand on the cay itself, with five more lofts on the Roatán shore, on the upper floor of the dive centre building. It takes 28 guests at most and is let out whole for buyouts, weddings and dive groups. Every unit has a Heavenly bed, air conditioning, a TV and a fully equipped kitchen.

The diving is on site. Barefoot Divers is a PADI 5 Star centre, open 8:00 to 16:00, and sits minutes from Mary’s Place — one of Roatán’s best-known sites, all volcanic crevices and overhangs. In all there are more than thirty sites within 5–20 minutes of the dock; the island’s south shore is walls that start in the shallows and drop far past recreational limits.

Service is valet: gear is set up, rinsed and loaded for you, with fruit, water and towels on the boat. Groups are small and every dive is guided. The boat goes out three times a day and each trip is a single tank, so guests put together their own combination. From the Ocean Pavilion you can dive from shore as much as you like during dive shop hours — macro diving in a natural lagoon.

The cay has a pool, the Azure restaurant beside it, a beach palapa with hammocks, an open-air spa and a marina taking nine feet of draft with 24-hour security. The beach runs along the south side of the island, but you cannot swim from it: the water is shallow and the seagrass is protected — swimming and snorkelling happen in the Ocean Pavilion lagoon.

The restaurant changes character through the week: Tuesday is Osteria Day with Italian fusion, Friday is Anti-Fine Dining with pizza, tacos, ramen and ribs, Sunday is brunch.

No markup

You pay exactly the rate the resort publishes. On top of that, only the actual bank costs of currency conversion and the international transfer — no commission of ours.

We run the deal

Correspondence with the resort, holding the room, the contract, booking confirmation and all paperwork are on our side. There is nothing for you to arrange yourself.

Card payment

We accept payment by card through Stripe and issue an invoice. The transfer to the resort is our job — you do not have to find a way to pay abroad.

Support all the way

We help you choose the room and dates, work out the dive package, answer questions about flights and gear, and stay in touch until you are home.

The exact amount is confirmed when we hold your booking: it includes the resort's rate at the day's exchange rate plus the actual transfer costs. No hidden fees.

The resort publishes no rate card. The table shows the lowest rates the booking engine returned on 6 September 2026 when searching the next 90 days for one guest. These are dynamic rates that move with dates and occupancy, and taxes and fees are not included. The site simultaneously advertises 30 % off for advance purchase and 25 % off for last-minute booking — all six figures divide by 0.7 exactly, so the minimum shown already carries the advance-purchase discount.
