Yachtiano is a 45.5-metre vessel built in 2024 — the youngest boat in the Egyptian fleet and the least like a classic safari boat. On paper she is a dive boat; in practice she is a small floating hotel: a six-metre pool jacuzzi for thirteen people with a glass wall set into the hull side, a spa, two restaurants, two bars with darts and air hockey, water slides, water skis and kitesurfing. The operator is Yachtiano Management, based at the New Marina in Hurghada, with a single vessel in the fleet.
The name needs explaining straight away, because it will otherwise confuse you. The hull
carries Yachtiano in large Latin letters and, right beside it, “Ocean Dream R.S.” in Arabic
together with registration number 1081. It is one and the same ship: Ocean Dream is her
Egyptian registered name, Yachtiano the trading one. That is also where the ocean-dream
filenames in the photo libraries come from, and the OCEAN DREAM · RED SEA lettering on the
air hockey table. There is no second boat behind any of it.
The vessel has seventeen cabins and thirty-four berths — that is what the specification and the operator’s own text say. But not all of them are sold: the booking system shows thirteen cabins numbered 01–13 and twenty-six places, and across all sixty published departures the four plain category A twins on the lower deck never appear once. Count by the booking system: thirteen cabins, twenty-six guests. You can hear it on the dive deck too — the operator says he can take up to thirty divers and keeps a guide-to-diver ratio of one to eight.
The cabins are laid out by deck like a hotel. Lower deck — four A+ cabins (numbers 10–13), twin beds or a double at your choice, a standard window; this is the base category, the one the weekly price is calculated from, and the only one the operator will share between two same-sex guests. Main deck — four B suites (06–09) with a double bed and a panoramic window, a 250 euro per person supplement. First superstructure deck — four C suites (02–05) with a king size bed, a walk-out private balcony and a whirlpool bath in the bathroom, a 400 euro supplement. Top deck — the single D penthouse (01), fifty square metres with a dressing room, curved panoramic windows and its own jacuzzi on the balcony; the supplement is 1000 euro per person. Every cabin has a private bathroom, air conditioning, a safe and a hairdryer, and from A+ upwards a hot water station and a coffee machine.
Safety deserves a separate paragraph, because the boat has something almost nobody else does: in October 2025 the operator announced a recompression chamber installed on board. Add the ENOS system for locating lost divers, a fire alarm with foam extinguishers, CCTV, emergency exits from every deck and removable panoramic windows as a secondary escape route.
The money side is unusually simple for Egypt. The weekly price includes the fuel surcharge, return transfers from Hurghada airport, meet-and-assist at the airport plus lost luggage help, full board, soft drinks, a dive or kite package with tanks and weights, and nitrox at 29–32 per cent. Exactly one mandatory sum is collected on board in cash: a route supplement of 275 euro per person, the same on all four itineraries and in both 2026 and 2027, into which the operator folds permits, port fees, reef tax and marine park fees. The visa costs 30 euro through the operator, but you may equally get it yourself on arrival — he does not insist. He mentions crew tips nowhere at all: neither an amount nor an obligation. There is Starlink Wi-Fi on board, but it is paid — 15 euro per person and “subject to availability”.
Payment on board is requested in cash, euro or US dollars; cards are accepted with a 3 per cent bank fee.
She runs year-round out of Hurghada and back to Hurghada on four programmes. “Yachtiano Delux” is the signature mixed week: diving, kiting, snorkelling with dolphins, water skiing, wakeboarding and an island barbecue; it has no experience requirement at all, offers intro dives, and is the only Egyptian itinerary in our catalogue you can join with a whole family and with non-divers. “North” and “North & Tiran” are the classic north — the SS Thistlegorm, Ras Mohammed and Abu Nuhas, 22 dives and more in a week, requiring Advanced Open Water and 25 logged dives. “Kite North” is a kiting week around Abu Monqar, Tawila, Geisum and Ashrafi, for which the operator describes the level in a single word, “advanced”.
Two further programmes — “Brothers, Daedalus & Elphinstone” and “North & Brothers” — sit in the operator’s itinerary menu, but not a single departure is scheduled for either in 2026 or 2027. If the Brothers and Daedalus are what you want, this boat does not currently run them.
Practical points. Check-in from 17:00, the first night alongside at the New Marina, departure around 8 a.m. the next morning; check-out at 10:00. The operator reserves the right to spend the last night in a 4-star hotel rather than on board, and to change the departure and arrival port if the vessel’s schedule requires it. A trip is confirmed once twelve full payers are booked — if the group does not fill, the operator may cancel free of charge up to four weeks before the start. Single occupancy costs 60 per cent on top of the cabin price.

Diving on board
The operator sets experience requirements per itinerary, and they are unusually mild for Egypt. "North" and "North & Tiran" require Advanced Open Water and 25 logged dives, and deliver 22 dives or more in a week. "Yachtiano Delux" has no minimum at all — the operator leaves the experience field empty and offers intro dives, with 15–18 dives over the week. On the "Kite North" week the level is described in a single word, "advanced", and it refers to kiting rather than diving. The operator publishes no maximum depth, no recency requirement for your last dive and no insurance rule anywhere — arrange dive-covering insurance yourself before you fly. A recompression chamber, according to the operator, is on board.
Food and drink
Allergies, diets and special requests should be sent in advance — the galley works with them and cooks separately. Barista coffee and cocktails are not included and are paid on board. Payment is requested in cash, euro or US dollars; cards are accepted with a 3 % bank fee.

Cabins
· 4 cabins
Twin beds or a double, your choice
Beds: 2 single beds or one double
The boat's base category — the one the weekly price is calculated from, with no supplement. Four cabins along the lower deck corridor, finished entirely in white: gloss bulkheads, a quilted headboard running the full width, LED strips along the floor and ceiling, pale timber flooring. The beds can be split or pushed together into a double, chosen at booking; on request the operator can set up a family configuration or a king size bed. The bathroom is private, with a separate shower cubicle. By the window a black stone worktop carries the hot water station and the Coffee B machine. The operator quotes the size inconsistently: 21 m² in the lower deck text, 14 m² on the category card itself. This is the only category the operator will share between two same-sex guests, so a solo traveller can take it without paying for the whole cabin.
· 4 cabins
Double bed
Beds: 1 double bed
Four suites on the main deck, immediately behind the "Seaside Dream" restaurant. The main difference from the lower deck is the full-width panoramic window: you see the sea from the bed rather than through a porthole. The bed is a 180 × 220 double, the finish the same white with perimeter lighting, with a bedside cabinet at the headboard and an armchair in the corner. The bathroom is private, with a separate shower cubicle, a basin on a black stone worktop and a large mirror. There is a safe, a hairdryer, a hot water station and a coffee machine. The cabin is sold whole, with no sharing. The category supplement is 250 euro per person per trip on top of the base weekly price.
· 4 cabins
King size bed
Beds: 1 king size bed
Four suites on the first superstructure deck — the most interesting category on the boat for what the money buys. A 200 × 220 king size bed, a panoramic window and a private balcony reached through an ordinary door, with a mattress on it you can sleep on under the open sky. The bathroom holds a corner whirlpool bath and a separate glass shower cubicle, a basin on a black stone worktop and a backlit mirror. There is a safe, a hairdryer, a hot water station and a coffee machine. The cabin is sold whole. The supplement is 400 euro per person per trip on top of the base weekly price.
· 1 cabin
King size bed
Beds: 1 king size bed
The only cabin on the top deck and the largest on the boat — fifty square metres with a captain's view. The windows curve around the headboard so the sea is visible on three sides, the 200 × 220 king size bed stands in the middle, and there is a dressing room and a seating area by the window. The private balcony carries an open-air jacuzzi and sun loungers, screened from the other decks — the most private spot on the vessel. The bathroom is large: a bath, a separate shower cubicle behind tinted glass, a basin on a black stone worktop and a backlit mirror. The supplement is 1000 euro per person per trip on top of the base weekly price.
Schedule & Pricing
Yachtiano Delux — diving, kiting and watersports
The boat's signature week and her only programme with no experience threshold. A round trip from Hurghada and back, 15–18 dives, and alongside them kiting, snorkelling, water skis, wakeboard, banana and water slides — so you can bring non-divers and children. The first morning brings two check dives at Sha'ab El Erg, the Dolphin House, with the option of snorkelling with dolphins, then Jubal Island and a night dive. Day two is the SS Thistlegorm: two dives on the British ship bombed in 1941, trucks and motorcycles still in her holds, plus the Kingston by tender. Then Geisum with a morning dive at Gubal North, two at Coral Garden and an evening barbecue on the island; Tawila with Siyul and two dives on the Abu Nuhas wrecks; Abu Monqar with the Hurghada Underwater Military Museum, Aquarium Reef, Abu Ramada and Sha'ab Tawil. Back to the marina on Friday afternoon, last night on board. The operator sets no experience minimum at all and offers intro dives.

2 departuresNorth — the SS Thistlegorm, Ras Mohammed and Abu Nuhas
The classic northern week out of Hurghada and back, 22 dives and more. It opens with two check dives at Sha'ab El Erg, the Dolphin House, with a possible night dive. Then two or three dives on the wrecks of Abu Nuhas and the crossing to Ras Mohammed. There it is Shark Reef and Yolanda, with the SS Thistlegorm as the third and night dive. The next morning brings another Thistlegorm dive, then Shag Rock, the Gubal islands and a night dive. The penultimate day opens the Rosalie Moller on request — the Thistlegorm's sister ship, lying deeper and with no snorkelling — followed by the Ulysses and Siyul. The last two dives are in the Hurghada area: Umm Gammar and Carless Reef. The operator requires Advanced Open Water and 25 logged dives; there is no snorkelling on the Thistlegorm, the Rosalie Moller or Carless Reef.

The same northern loop out of Hurghada, with a leg into the Straits of Tiran off Sinai. After two check dives on the first sailing day the boat runs to Abu Nuhas for two dives and crosses to Tiran. Three dives go on the islands of the straits, then the boat returns to Ras Mohammed. Two dives follow in the reserve, with the SS Thistlegorm as the third and night dive. The next morning brings the Thistlegorm again, then Shag Rock and Gubal Island with a possible night dive. The final two dives are in the Hurghada area: Umm Gammar and Carless Reef. The week delivers 22 dives or more. Requirements are the same as on "North": Advanced Open Water and 25 logged dives.

1 departureKite North — a kiting week around the northern islands
A week about wind rather than depth. The boat leaves Hurghada and works the flat water of the northern lagoons: Abu Monqar on the first sailing day, a full day around Tawila Island with a beach barbecue under the stars, then Geisum with a run into the open northern waters and Ashrafi Island, where the wind is strongest. Day six returns to a favourite spot around Geisum or Tawila for one last full session; day seven is a Red Sea sunrise, breakfast and disembarkation in Hurghada. Kite gear and coaching are on board and an instructor sails with the group. The operator describes the level in one word — "advanced" — and it refers to kiting.
