TL

Avo is a 44-metre yacht built in 2024 specifically for Red Sea dive cruising and refitted in 2025. Twelve cabins across three decks take up to 24 guests. She sails under the Sea Mad brand out of Hurghada; some routes start from Port Ghalib instead.

The cabins are spread across the decks: six standard on the lower deck, four on the main deck and two suites on top. Every cabin has a private en-suite bathroom with a shower, individually controlled air conditioning, towels, bathrobes and a hairdryer, plus storage for luggage and dive gear. The suites sit on the upper deck: a round bed in a bay of panoramic windows on three sides, with a walk-out terrace of their own.

The dive deck is laid out so that 24 people can kit up without crowding — a personal crate space for each diver, tank racks, rinse tanks and a separate rinse for camera gear. Dives are run from two tenders with their own tank racks, which cuts the run out to distant reefs such as Daedalus and Elphinstone. Nitrox is free, 12-litre DIN/INT tanks and weights are included, and the operator plans up to 18 dives over a week. The ENOS surface diver-recovery system is carried on board.

Up top there is a jacuzzi with a sea view, a bar and a broad sun deck with bean bags. The saloon has panoramic windows, two large screens and a soft seating area; meals are served either in the restaurant or at the long table on the open deck. The food is fresh, with live cooking and barbecue evenings under the stars; vegetarian and vegan dishes on request at booking.

The routes cover almost the whole Egyptian coast: the north with Ras Mohammed, Tiran and the Thistlegorm, the Brothers — Daedalus — Elphinstone “Golden Triangle”, the south with St John’s, Fury Shoals, Zabargad and Rocky Island, plus two-week Marine Park expeditions.

No mark-up

You pay the rate the operator publishes. The only thing added on top is the actual payment processing cost — no fee of ours.

We run the booking

Correspondence with the operator, holding your places, the contract, confirmation and all paperwork sit on our side. Nothing for you to arrange yourself.

Pay by card

We send you a Stripe invoice — pay by card, in your own currency, from anywhere in the world. The transfer to the operator is handled on our side.

Support in your language

We help you pick the cabin and dates, answer questions on the route and gear, and stay reachable until you are home — in English, in your time zone.

We quote the exact amount when confirming the booking: it covers the operator's rate plus the actual payment processing cost. No hidden charges.

Schedule & Pricing

North and Tiran

The classic northern Red Sea week out of Hurghada: Ras Mohammed National Park with the Shark and Yolanda dive, the Straits of Tiran — Gordon, Thomas and Jackson reefs — and the two best-known wrecks in the region, the Thistlegorm and the Rosalie Moller. An easy-going route with plenty of variety: reefs, walls and wrecks.

The Best of the South

The far south out of Port Ghalib: Daedalus Reef, Rocky Island and Zabargad, the maze of coral caves and tunnels at St John's, dolphins at Sataya and a finish on Elphinstone. There are noticeably fewer divers here than in the north, the coral is intact and visibility is usually better.

A short five-night run out of Port Ghalib for those without a full week: three dives at Abu Dabbab plus a night dive, then three dives on Daedalus Reef and two on Elphinstone. Up to 10 dives in all.
