White Pearl is a 56-metre Maldivian yacht launched in 2020. Thirteen cabins across two guest decks take up to 26 guests, and there are sixteen bathrooms on board — one in every cabin plus several in the public areas. The vessel was purpose-built for diving, but the level of finish is closer to a motor yacht than to a classic dive boat.

Diving runs from a dedicated dhoni that travels alongside the yacht: gear is assembled and left there, so the main deck never turns into a storage room. On board there is a large dive deck with wooden benches, individual storage drawers, outside showers and a separate rinse tank for underwater cameras, plus a charging station and a camera table. Nitrox is included for certified divers, sidemount is supported and DIN adaptors are available.

Public areas span three levels. The main deck has a seven-metre jacuzzi, a restaurant with panoramic windows and a saloon that fits a lounge, gym equipment, gaming consoles and a work corner all at once. Above it sits a bar lounge under a starlit ceiling and an open sun deck with loungers. The spa room is a story of its own — a bathtub under a lit night-sky ceiling, the only one of its kind on a Maldivian liveaboard. Water toys include a jet ski, stand-up paddleboards, kayaks and a water slide.

Every cabin has individually adjustable air conditioning, a panoramic window, a safe, a hair dryer, an HD TV with Google Cast and satellite channels, USB sockets and a keypad door lock. Each cabin has its own bathroom with hot water. Three cabins — the Master Suite and two Junior Suites — are on the main deck, the other ten on the upper deck. The crew speaks English, Dutch and German.

Schedule & Pricing

Central Atolls (Male — Male)

The yacht's core route and its most frequent one: a loop through North and South Male, Ari, Rasdhoo and Vaavu, returning to the capital. Manta cleaning stations, night dives with rays drawn in by the lights, channels with current and schools of grey reef sharks, and wrecks. Starts and ends in Male, so no domestic flights are needed.

Hanifaru Bay and the mantas of Baa Atoll

A route into the Baa UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The main target is Hanifaru Bay, where dozens of mantas and whale sharks gather during the plankton season; snorkelling only is allowed inside the bay, while dives run on the neighbouring reefs of Baa and Lhaviyani. Best from May to November. Some departures are one-way, with a flight via Dharavandhoo.

Deep South — Huvadhoo, Fuvahmulah and Addu

A route between Kooddoo and Gan for experienced divers. Fuvahmulah is one of the few places in the world where tiger sharks are seen year-round; Huvadhoo has channels with hammerheads and grey reef sharks, and Addu has mantas and the wreck of the British tanker British Loyalty. Currents are strong, so drift diving experience is required. It starts and ends at southern airfields, and the domestic flight is paid separately.

Central to South crossing (Male — Kooddoo)

A one-way combination route: the yacht runs from Male through the central atolls — Vaavu, Meemu, Laamu — down to Huvadhoo, or the same way in reverse. The diving is varied, from the calm reefs of the centre to the current-swept channels of the south. One flight is domestic, the other out of Male.
