Solitude Gaia is a 40-metre vessel launched in 2023 and purpose-built for diving in Palau. Steel hull with an aluminium superstructure, 10 knots cruising and 14 knots top speed. Nine cabins across three decks take up to 18 guests, with a crew-to-guest ratio close to one to one.
The ship is registered in Koror and works Palau only: departures from Malakal towards Ulong, Peleliu and Ngemelis, and on the longer trips out to the northern reefs and Kayangel. The dive list reads Blue Corner, Blue Holes, German Channel, Ulong Channel, the Peleliu walls and the WWII wrecks of Malakal Bay. On the last morning there is an optional run to Jellyfish Lake and the Milky Way (separate permits required).
Diving is run from two purpose-built 6-metre aluminium skiffs with 100 HP engines, plus a support skiff. Three Bauer compressors and a nitrox membrane system, tanks in several sizes with DIN and YORK adaptors, sidemount friendly, no twinsets. One guide per six divers, private guide on request. SMB, weights and belt are included. Up to four dives a day, night dive included.
A dedicated digital area is built for underwater photographers: large camera-only rinse tanks, pressurised air for drying, a setup bench, editing and charging stations, universal sockets and surge protection. The saloon has a 65-inch smart TV with a Bose system, a library and board games; every cabin has its own TV.
Cabins come with individually controlled air conditioning, a safe, bathrobes, hairdryer, intercom, a desk with universal sockets and an ensuite with hot water and a separate shower. Daily housekeeping, linen changed every three days. On board there is a spa with a bathtub, two massage beds by a panoramic window, a sun deck with loungers and parasols, a lounge area on the stateroom deck, a bar and kayaks.
No mark-up
You pay the rate the operator publishes. The only thing added on top is the actual payment processing cost — no fee of ours.
We run the booking
Correspondence with the operator, holding your places, the contract, confirmation and all paperwork sit on our side. Nothing for you to arrange yourself.
Pay by card
We send you a Stripe invoice — pay by card, in your own currency, from anywhere in the world. The transfer to the operator is handled on our side.

We help you pick the cabin and dates, answer questions on the route and gear, and stay reachable until you are home — in English, in your time zone.
We quote the exact amount when confirming the booking: it covers the operator's rate plus the actual payment processing cost. No hidden charges.

Diving on board
Certification, a dive computer, an SMB, an audible signalling device and dive insurance are mandatory. Solo diving is not allowed. The first dive is no earlier than 6 hours after arrival, the last one no later than 18 hours before your flight. Twinsets are not available.
Food and drinks
Please state dietary requirements when booking. You may bring your own wine or spirits in reasonable quantity, with no corkage charge.

Classic Palau (Malakal — Malakal)
The ship's core 7-night trip: Malakal Bay with the Jake seaplane and the Iro wreck, Chandelier Cave, then Ulong with its channel, Siaes Corner and coral gardens, and finally the southern reefs of Peleliu and Ngemelis — Blue Corner, Blue Holes, German Channel, Yellow Wall. Up to four dives a day; some departures are timed to the lunar cycle for the fish spawning aggregations. On disembarkation morning there is an optional trip to Jellyfish Lake and the Milky Way.
