Snefro Pearl is the smallest vessel in the King Snefro Fleet: 29 metres, six cabins, twelve guests at most. The wooden hull was built in Rashid and launched in 2012; the interiors were last refreshed in September 2023. The boat is based in Sharm El Sheikh and sails from the New Marina (El Wataneya) jetty.

Twelve guests is exactly the size of group that fits the whole yacht. Small groups often charter Snefro Pearl outright, and those who join on their own get an uncrowded dive deck and more attention from the guide. The lower deck holds four twin cabins and, right forward, the Master Suite with a queen-size bed; one more twin cabin sits on the upper deck. Every cabin has its own bathroom with a hot-water shower, individually controlled air conditioning, a safe and 220 V European two-pin sockets.

Forward on the main deck is the restaurant, finished in wood, with a panoramic sea view. The cooking is Egyptian and international, freshly prepared and served buffet style; sweet and salty snacks come out between dives, and water, tea, coffee and soft drinks are available all day. The main deck also has a spacious air-conditioned saloon, and one deck up there is a second lounge with a bar. There are two sun decks, both partly shaded, with loungers and an outdoor bar.

The dive deck is aft: fresh-water shower, toilet, two Bauer Mariner compressors and a nitrox membrane system. Nitrox up to 32 % is free for certified divers, and 12 L tanks with DIN/INT valves plus weights are included. Divers are taken to the sites by Zodiac. Wi-Fi on board is free and shared, and works wherever there is mobile coverage.

The schedule is uniform, and that is its convenience: all year round, usually twice a week, a three-night Thistlegorm – Ras Mohamed mini safari out of Sharm El Sheikh and back. Four days bring nine to eleven dives, two of them on the most famous wreck in the Red Sea.

Since 2012 the vessel has held ISO certification for recreational diving service providers (EUF: S 000059, valid to 30.06.2028), is a Green Fins Silver member, a PADI Eco Center and a member of Egypt’s Chamber of Diving and Watersports (CDWS: SSSB 0060 S).

On the Thistlegorm – Ras Mohamed route the operator requires Advanced Open Water and at least 20 logged dives — without them you will not be taken inside the Thistlegorm on the penetration dive. Your last dive must be less than a year old and recorded in the logbook; otherwise a Scuba Review is needed on board and has to be booked in advance. A personal dive computer (or watch), torch and SMB are mandatory for every diver. Diving insurance is mandatory and is checked at check-in, as is the medical self-declaration; a 'yes' to any question means an RSTC fit-to-dive certificate no older than one year. Rental gear is ordered in advance, with your height, weight and shoe size.

Schedule & Pricing

Mini safari: Thistlegorm – Ras Mohamed

The only route in the Snefro Pearl schedule and the best seller of the King Snefro fleet: three nights out of Sharm El Sheikh and back, 9–11 dives. Boarding in the evening at the New Marina (El Wataneya) jetty, sailing early the next morning. Day one is a check dive at Temple or Ras Katy, then Jackfish Alley with its small caves and the Alternatives, a chain of seven pinnacles with sand patches and resident leopard sharks; the night dive here is a favourite. Day two belongs to the Thistlegorm — at least two dives, the first around the hull, the second inside — followed by Small Passage in the Shaab Mahmoud reef system. The last day: the wooden Dunraven, sunk in 1876 and packed with glassfish, the endless wall of Shark and Yolanda Reef at the southern tip of Sinai, and a final dive at Ras Zatar, Ras Ghazlani or Ras Um Sid. Back in port by 16:00. Level required: Advanced Open Water with at least 20 logged dives. Departures run all year round, usually twice a week.
