Scubaspa Yin is a 50-metre Maldivian liveaboard built in 2013 that pairs serious diving with a full-scale spa. Seventeen cabins across three decks take up to 36 guests, no more than 26 of them divers, looked after by a crew of 30 — close to one crew member per guest. The vessel has picked up several industry awards, including “Best Boat Design” and “Maldives Boating Brand of the Year”.
The spa occupies a deck of its own: four treatment rooms, a permanent team of therapists, an open-air spa lounge, a petal bath, a jacuzzi and a separate teak deck for Thai massage. Yoga runs every morning, on deck or on the beach. That mix makes Yin work equally well for divers and for anyone joining the trip without tanks.
All the dive gear lives on a dedicated dhoni that runs alongside the yacht. The dhoni is a floating dive centre with PADI 5-Star status: kitting up and breaking down happen there, so the yacht’s decks never get crowded. It has a shaded area, rinse hoses, DIN adaptors and a separate rinse tank for underwater cameras; nitrox is available for a surcharge.
Inside there is a main-deck restaurant with panoramic windows, the Lagoon bar, a second bar upstairs, two large sundecks, an observation deck, an outdoor cinema and a small gym. The kitchen is international — three buffet meals a day plus à la carte dishes from open cooking stations, a proper wine list and a beach barbecue.
Cabins range from the lower-deck Sea Stars with opening portlights up to the 20 m² Manta Suites, whose three-metre panoramic windows are set directly into the hull with no walkway outside, so nothing blocks the view. Every cabin has individually controlled air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom and a safe.
A note on pricing: the dive package is already in the fare, while spa treatments are paid separately. The rate depends on cabin type — Sea Star is the entry level, a Manta Suite costs roughly a third more.

You pay the rate the operator publishes. The only thing added on top is the actual payment processing cost — no fee of ours.

Best of Maldives (Male — Male)
The vessel's year-round core programme. Out of Male through North and South Male, Ari, Rasdhoo and Vaavu: manta cleaning stations, the Fish Head channel with schooling grey reef sharks, the night dive with nurse sharks at Alimatha reef, barracuda in the channels and whale sharks in southern Ari. Currents are moderate but drift dives are routine — comfortable from around 20–30 logged dives.
