Do you know what made 2010 remarkable in the Maldives? We’ll tell you! That year, in the heart of the tropics, a new vessel was born — destined to faithfully serve curious divers from every corner of our round little planet. Its name is Duke of York. Thanks to the meticulous craftsmanship of its builders, who ensured the yacht meets the highest standards of navigation and shipbuilding, it is now one of the best options for a diving holiday in the Maldives. That’s why spots on the yacht fill up quickly during peak dates. But if you do manage to get on board — relax and enjoy the sea, the sun and the company of the welcoming crew! A few numbers will help reinforce what we’ve said above. Duke of York measures 36 metres in length, 11 metres in width, and features 4 decks with parquet flooring in the indoor areas and teak finish on the main deck. Quite impressive, isn’t it? As for diving specifically, a dhoni tender boat is provided. We’ll use it not only for dives, but also for snorkeling and fishing. So if you don’t dive — no problem, as everyone’s favourite Winnie the Pooh would say. But it’s worth giving it a try, if only because there’s some great news — Duke of York became the first yacht in the Maldives to offer guests rebreather diving! Massage and Ayurvedic treatments are available on board.
