MY Blue is one of the largest safari yachts in the Red Sea: 43 metres long, 9 wide, completed in April 2016. The hull is wooden and Egyptian-built, the interior and layout European. Twelve cabins take up to 24 guests.

The lower deck cabins are built with light shafts — narrow windows led out to the hull side, which makes them brighter than lower-deck cabins usually are. Each is about nine square metres, with two single beds, a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, a TV/DVD combo, individually controlled air conditioning, a safe and enough storage. Four upper deck cabins face the sea: two with a double bed, two with twin beds. On the main deck there is a twelve-square-metre suite with a double bed and panoramic portholes.

The vessel was built for diving. The dive deck has a large camera table with a freshwater sink, a shaded kitting-up area, rinse hoses and DIN adaptors, and a filling station at 200 and 300 bar with a booster and storage cylinders. Nitrox is free for certified divers, rebreathers and sidemount are supported. Two 6.2-metre Zodiacs with 85 hp engines, eight divers each, run guests to the sites that cannot be reached from the stern. For divers lost in a current the boat carries the ENOS system.

Inside there is an air-conditioned saloon with sofas and a dining room, full-height panoramic windows, a library and an audio-video system. Two outdoor decks are given over to relaxing: a shaded bow lounge with soft seating and teak tables, a sun deck with loungers, outdoor dining and a barbecue area. Wi-Fi is free, and the boat takes both cash and cards.

Blue runs every Red Sea route, north to south: from the classic northern wrecks and reefs down to the marine parks of Brothers, Daedalus, Zabargad and Rocky. A week gives you up to twenty-one dives.

Schedule & Pricing

Brothers — Daedalus — Elphinstone

The yacht's main route and the most frequent one in the schedule. Big Brother with the wrecks of the Aida II and the Numidia, so overgrown that wreck and reef blur into one; Small Brother with hammerheads, thresher, grey and whitetip reef sharks; Daedalus 180 km further south, a huge reef of drop-off walls and current where a school of hammerheads holds on the north-east side; and Elphinstone, famous for its oceanic whitetips. Starts and ends in Port Ghalib, with some summer departures from Hurghada. A route for experienced divers: walls, drift and big fish.

Brothers — Daedalus — Elphinstone, Sharkvoice weeks

The same marine parks, but the departure is billed as a Sharkvoice shark-themed week. The operator's own site does not describe these dates separately — the programme matches the regular Brothers — Daedalus — Elphinstone route, what differs is who guides the group. Starts and ends in Port Ghalib.

November 2026

Daedalus — Fury Shoal

Daedalus with its walls and hammerheads paired with the Fury Shoal reef chain. At the very south of the chain lies Sha'ab Sataya, a vast lagoon ringed by reef: drop-offs, hard and soft corals and large pods of dolphins, which is why Sataya is known as the Dolphin House. Weather permitting, night dives are run here. Starts and ends in Port Ghalib.

North and Tiran

The Red Sea classic and the least demanding route on offer: the Thistlegorm, a 129-metre British freighter lying at up to 32 m; Abu Nuhas with four wrecks on a sandy slope; Ras Mohammed with Shark Reef and Yolanda; and the four reefs of the Strait of Tiran — Jackson, Woodhouse, Thomas and Gordon, named after British cartographers. The currents are strong, which is exactly why the big pelagics are here. Starts and ends in Hurghada.
