Tubbataha

Tubbataha Marine Park in the Sulu Sea is a UNESCO World Heritage Site covering over 33,000 hectares. The North and South reefs include natural coral gardens with vertical walls dropping to 100 meters depth and extensive lagoons. Home to 573 fish species, 373 coral species, 11 shark species, and 12 dolphin and whale species. Tubbataha’s dive sites are famous for giant sea fans, mantas, reef sharks, and colonies of sea turtles that come here to breed. The sunken vessels Delsan and Malayan add a wreck diving element. The park is accessible only in season and only by liveaboard — the nearest port is 10 hours away.
