South Sudan from Egypt

Sudan · 13 nights

An expedition from Egyptian Marsa Alam south along the Sudanese coast toward Eritrean waters. The route passes through the territory of the historic port of Suakin and covers over 20 dive sites, including wrecks, pristine coral reefs, and pelagic fauna encounters.

The program includes Sha’ab Rumi with Cousteau’s Pre-Continent II base from 1963, Sanganeb atoll, southern Dahret Abid — just 13 km from the Sudan-Eritrea border, Angarosh — “Mother of Sharks,” Habili Dahret Ghab, Umbria wreck, plus Egyptian Fury Shoal and St. John islands. Optimal timing is April, May, and June, when storm activity is minimal and long daylight hours ensure safe navigation.
