A safari on the “St. Johns — Abu Fendera” route starts from Marsa Alam or Marsa Ghalib and covers the reef systems of St. Johns and Abu Fendera — southern reefs of the Egyptian Red Sea.
St. Johns — a system of several large sites. Habili Ali — an underwater mountain with giant gorgonians and black corals, reef sharks, and schools of hammerheads. Habili Gafaar — soft corals, butterflyfish. Gota Kebir — a massive reef with tunnels for experienced and beginner cave divers. Gota Soraya is considered one of the best Red Sea walls.
Abu Fendera — a remote reef system near the Sudanese border. Coral reefs in excellent condition thanks to remoteness. Diverse marine life, sharks, turtles. The route requires minimum 50 dives in logbook.
