A route through the southern Red Sea — from the Fury Shoals reefs to the St. Johns system near the Sudanese border. Distance from popular routes ensures fewer crowds and pristine reefs. Departure from Marsa Alam or Port Ghalib.
Fury Shoals — a complex of reefs with diverse sites. Shaab Claude is cut through with tunnels and caves that can be traversed end to end. Abu Galawa Soraya — coral garden with a sunken yacht in the shallows. Wadi Gamal is covered in soft corals, home to angelfish and butterflyfish.
St. Johns — a reef system of several large sites: Habili Ali and Habili Gafaar — underwater mountains with currents where oceanic whitetip and silky sharks are found. Gota Kebir and Gota Soraya — walls with soft corals, turtles, and large fish. Shab Sharm — lagoon with coral gardens. Minimum 40 dives recommended for comfortable participation — currents and depths are serious.
