Similans and Surin

Thailand · 4–6 nights
Diving at the Similans and Surin Islands

An extended route through the northern Andaman Sea: from the Similan Islands through Koh Bon and Koh Tachai to Richelieu Rock and the Surin Islands. The trip lasts five or seven days and includes up to 14–19 dives, including sunset and night dives.

The Similan archipelago of eleven islands offers two contrasting underwater landscapes: granite boulders with gorgonians on the west and gentle coral gardens on the east. Further north, the route passes through Koh Bon, where manta rays feed along a wall of soft corals, and Koh Tachai with its dynamic currents and schools of pelagics. The highlight is Richelieu Rock, famous for whale shark encounters. The Surin Islands add pristine reefs with harlequin shrimps, turtles, and marble stingrays.
