Diving in Egypt — Red Sea

The “Safaga — South” route is a safari from Safaga south to Elphinstone. Around Safaga — excellent diving spots: coastal reefs Panorama Reef, Tobia Arbaa, and Abu Kafan. Diving offers a combination of shallow dives and drop-offs, plus the famous wreck Salem Express.

Panorama Reef — long reef with sheer walls and soft corals. Abu Kafan — walls with pelagics. Tobia Arbaa — coral pillars. Salem Express — one of the largest shipwrecks in the Red Sea. Marsa Shuona — sheltered bay with reef dives.

To the south — Elphinstone with sheer walls, soft corals, and oceanic whitetip sharks. Drift dives along the walls. Route for experienced divers only — minimum 30 dives, Advanced Open Water or Deep Diver recommended.
