The “Red Sea Sharks” route is for those seeking shark encounters. Visiting offshore reefs of the southern Red Sea from May to August, when chances of seeing sharks are highest.
The route includes St. Johns, Rocky, Daedalus, and Elphinstone — remote offshore reef systems of the Red Sea with deep sheer walls in the path of strong currents. Currents carry nutrients, attracting large pelagic predators.
A large variety of shark species — hammerheads, oceanic whitetips, grey reef, silky, and thresher sharks. Dolphins and other large marine inhabitants. The best chances for close contact with the mysterious world of Red Sea sharks. Minimum 30 dives in logbook.
