Malapascua, Ticao and Donsol

Philippines · 7 nights
Malapascua, Ticao and Donsol — thresher sharks and whale sharks

A three-island route in the Visayan Sea north of Cebu. Malapascua became known in the early 1990s as a diving destination thanks to its coral gardens, walls, and unique local sites. Monad Shoal is the only place in the world where thresher sharks can be observed at dawn with high probability. Ticao Island offers the “Manta Bowl” and whale shark encounters, and Donsol has the Philippines’ largest whale shark population. The route includes up to four dives per day, visits to Gato Island with pelagic fish, and Halea Nature Park. Nudibranchs and small creatures complement the program with macro photography.
