The “Haa Alifu / Hanifaru Bay” route is a safari across five atolls in the northern Maldives: Haa Alifu, Haa Dhaalu, Shaviyani, Noonu, and Baa. The route connects the northernmost atoll of the archipelago with the Hanifaru Biosphere Reserve at Baa Atoll.
During the southwest monsoon period, high plankton concentration attracts countless manta rays to Hanifaru Bay — dozens of individuals feed simultaneously. Whale shark encounters are possible. The northern atolls of Haa Alifu and Haa Dhaalu offer pristine dive sites with no other divers. Shaviyani and Noonu are transitional atolls with diverse reefs.
