Focus on Mantas

Maldives · 7 nights
Manta ray — diving in the Maldives
A specialized route entirely dedicated to finding giant manta rays. Unlike fixed routes, Focus on Mantas is an adaptive safari: the crew stays in contact with other yachts and chooses the optimal route based on current manta activity. Main search zones are Baa (including Hanifaru) and Ari atolls. The Maldives is one of the best places on the planet for observing manta rays. Reef mantas (Mobula alfredi) and oceanic mantas (Mobula birostris) come to cleaning and feeding stations where they can be observed at arm's length. In Hanifaru Bay during peak season, several dozen mantas gather simultaneously. At Ari, mantas visit western cleaning stations — Moofushi, Lankan Manta Point, and others. The route suits divers of any level.
