An expedition route through the Banda Sea to the Forgotten Islands — a group of islands in the southeastern Maluku archipelago that remain one of the least-explored dive regions on the planet. The name “Forgotten” reflects their remoteness: these islands lie halfway between Timor and Papua, far from all familiar routes. Underwater — pristine reefs untouched by fishing or diving. Sheer walls drop into the abyss, covered with fan corals and sponges of incredible size. In the currents between islands, grey reef sharks, schools of trevallies and barracudas hunt. In the shallows — healthy hard corals with abundant reef fish. The route starts and ends in Ambon, includes long sea crossings, and is designed for experienced divers ready for expedition conditions.
