Baa Atoll / Hanifaru

A classic route through the northern atolls of the Maldives departing from and returning to Male. The safari passes through Baa, Raa, and Lhaviyani atolls, with a stop at Hanifaru Bay — a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve where dozens of manta rays and whale sharks gather in season. Diving at Hanifaru is prohibited — only snorkeling is allowed, but the spectacle is worth it: up to 50–70 mantas simultaneously in a compact lagoon.

Diving on the route includes lagoon dives, channel drifts, wall dives on the outer reef, wrecks, and caves. Baa Atoll has been under UNESCO protection since 2011 as a world-class biosphere reserve, ensuring high-quality underwater ecosystems. The route suits divers of all levels — from beginners to advanced.
