The Abu Fendera — Elba Reef liveaboard safari departs from Port Hamata and visits the reef systems of Abu Fendera and Elba Reef near the Sudanese border. One of Egypt’s most remote and least-explored routes.
Abu Fendera is a 6 km long reef system with depths of 15–25 meters. Sharks, large schools of fish, and numerous crustacean species. Magnificent Napoleon wrasse and rare parrotfish. Grey reef sharks and hammerhead sharks.
Elba Reef North and South feature plateaus starting at 20 meters and dropping to 45+ meters. The Levanzo wreck is a historic vessel. Sernaka Island with the Il Kamash wreck. Remote, unexplored reef areas — guests can suggest names for new dive sites for future seasons.
