7 room types
Gozo is Malta’s smaller sister — roughly seven by fourteen kilometres, thirteen villages and the town of Victoria in the middle. It lives on fishing, farming and visitors, and for a diver it is one of Europe’s best addresses: reefs, wrecks and caverns beneath high cliffs, reached from the shore and from a boat alike.
Marsalforn is a former fishing village on the northern coast and today the island’s main resort town. Cafés and fish restaurants line the bay, colourful luzzu boats still work out of the small harbour, and to the west hundreds of salt pans cut into the rock are still worked by hand.
Reef Hotel & Spa opened here recently and is recognised by the Malta Tourism Authority as a Four-Star Superior Hotel. It was built around three ideas: spacious rooms with natural-stone bathrooms and island views; a real connection to Gozo through seasonal produce in the kitchens and spa treatments drawn from natural sources; and a slower, more intentional pace instead of resort bustle.
On the roof, at level ten, sits the Aquaterra pool with one of the finest views on the island — lunch and swimming by day, sushi and sunsets on the same terrace in the evening. Down in the garden there is a second pool with the Green Grove bar.
Ember Spa is shaped around water, heat and touch: dark stone, a heated indoor pool, four private hydrotherapy suites, a sauna and a treatment menu that runs from restorative massage to calming rituals.
The hotel runs no diving of its own, but the PADI centre Gozo Dive Aqua Sports works next door on the same street — more than thirty years on Gozo, its own dive boat, and training from a first breath underwater through to TDI technical courses and the JJ-CCR rebreather. That is the centre Reef points its guests to, and the other way round.
No markup
You pay exactly the rate the resort publishes. On top of that, only the actual bank costs of currency conversion and the international transfer — no commission of ours.
We run the deal
Correspondence with the resort, holding the room, the contract, booking confirmation and all paperwork are on our side. There is nothing for you to arrange yourself.
Card payment
We accept payment by card through Stripe and issue an invoice. The transfer to the resort is our job — you do not have to find a way to pay abroad.
Support all the way
We help you choose the room and dates, work out the dive package, answer questions about flights and gear, and stay in touch until you are home.
The exact amount is confirmed when we hold your booking: it includes the resort's rate at the day's exchange rate plus the actual transfer costs. No hidden fees.

At the resort
Diving next door
The diving is run by the neighbouring centre, not by the hotel — the hotel's own site never mentions diving at all. Guided dives run with a minimum of two people. Depths off Gozo reach a hundred metres, so the programme is matched to the group's level and the conditions. Access to the tuna pens depends on the farm's schedule and is charged separately — a boat supplement plus an entry fee
Food
Breakfast 7:30–10:30, dinner at Olive Kitchen 18:00–21:30. Aquaterra and Green Grove open in the summer season and weather permitting — bar 11:00–18:00, lunch 12:30–14:30. The lobby bar runs 10:00–21:00. The home page calls the hotel's restaurants three, while the dining page describes four outlets including the lobby bar. Things to do
The hotel advertises four signature experiences of its own — a countryside picnic, a sunset sail, a private wine tasting and sea salt harvesting — but all four are marked "coming soon" and are not running yet. Spa gift vouchers are sold against a treatment or a chosen value

When to go
Getting there
The hotel stands in Marsalforn on the northern coast of Gozo, at 2, Triq ir-Rabat.
From Malta: Malta International Airport to the Ċirkewwa ferry terminal, then the ferry to Mġarr on Gozo and across the island to Marsalforn.
By bus to the ferry: route X1 from the airport, 41 and 42 from Valletta, 22 from Sliema — about 2 € and a little over an hour in each case.
An airport transfer can be booked through the dive centre next door. The hotel itself advertises none.
