The bank rate is the official Bank of Russia rate for 9 September 2026. The euro-to-dollar rate is the ratio of the two rouble rates.
Where the rate comes from
Every day the site takes the official dollar and euro rates published by the Bank of Russia and adds our margin. The result is the site rate: the currency switcher in the header uses it to show prices in roubles, dollars and euros.
This is the rate “set on the Site” that our terms of service refer to. It is used to work out the rouble price of a programme whose price is quoted in a foreign currency.
Why the rate is above the bank rate
Most programmes are priced by our partners in dollars or euros: boats, resorts and dive centres abroad work in foreign currency. We take payment in roubles and pay partners in currency, which we buy not at the official rate but at a bank's rate on the day, with fees for conversion and international transfer.
The 7 % margin over the Bank of Russia rate covers that difference and the movement of the rate between your payment and ours to the partner. Exchanging euros for dollars costs less, so that pair carries a 2.5 % margin.
The margin is the same for every programme and does not depend on the amount.
How the rate applies to payment
A programme's price is fixed in the currency the partner quotes it in. The rouble amount is calculated at the site rate on the date the contract is concluded.
When paying in instalments, each further instalment is calculated at the site rate on the day it is paid. The rate is not frozen: if the rouble strengthens the instalment is smaller, if it weakens it is larger. This is set out in clause 4.7 of the terms of service.
Converted prices are a guide
The currency switcher shows the same price in three currencies, converted at the site rate and rounded to whole units. The exact amount due appears on your invoice on the day of payment.
Prices in other currencies — Australian dollars, South African rand, Philippine pesos — are shown as the partner quotes them; the switcher does not convert them. For such programmes your manager will quote the rouble amount when replying to your request.
