Built in the south of the Indonesian island of Sulawesi by skilled craftsmen, Pearl of Papua is a traditional gaff-rigged phinisi schooner, handcrafted from ironwood and teak. The centuries-old traditions of local shipbuilders from the village of Tana Beru give the vessel a unique character, while still meeting the latest requirements for safety, practicality and comfort.
