CRUISE ABOARD LAMIMA — THE WORLD'S LARGEST WOODEN SAILING YACHT. For those seeking exclusive and enriching travel experiences, Lamima offers a unique blend of luxury, tradition, and adventure. Handcrafted to the highest standards, the vessel was created specifically to provide comfort, safety, and refined elegance — all while preserving the spirit of Indonesian hospitality. Lamima's story began in 2012, when renowned Barcelona-based yacht designer Marcelo Penna brought his vision to life. Inspired by the timeless grace of traditional Indonesian Phinisi sailing vessels, Marcelo combined modern superyacht technology to enhance strength, stability, and performance. With a usable area of 900 square meters — including 400 square meters of open decks — Lamima is built to harness the wind and explore the wonders of the Indonesian archipelago. Construction was entrusted to master shipbuilders from Ara, Sulawesi, a coastal village renowned for its centuries-old shipbuilding heritage. Blending traditional craftsmanship with modern yacht innovations, Lamima became a truly exceptional vessel representing both cultural heritage and technical excellence. Today, Lamima is the only luxury charter yacht sailing under the Indonesian flag — a symbol of authenticity and freedom. This unique registration allows her to explore the most remote and untouched corners of Indonesia.
