Epica

Epica is a traditional Indonesian fishing schooner fully converted for diving. She is an open, fresh budget-class boat with two decks and a small sun deck next to the captain's cabin. At 24 metres she may not be the largest boat in the region, but she is definitely one of the fastest! This is a great way to explore Raja Ampat on a budget — the region with the greatest underwater biodiversity in the world, where the yacht operates year-round. Up to 14 guests can be accommodated on board during liveaboard expeditions, sharing 7 bunk-bed cabins. A professional Indonesian crew led by European cruise director Josh brings years of experience and a deep familiarity with the region and its unique character. Safety is always the top priority when selecting dive sites and dive profiles. Currents and sea conditions are checked before every dive to ensure the site is suitable for all divers. Every water activity — diving, snorkeling or simply swimming — is preceded by a comprehensive briefing covering topography, currents and likely marine life encounters. Every crew member is passionate about marine life and environmental conservation. We are aware of the impact we have on nature and do everything possible to minimise it. We operate the yacht as sustainably as budgets and practicalities allow, and we always serve fresh, locally sourced produce wherever available.
