Mayaguana Island is the easternmost of the Bahamian islands, an amazingly diverse yet pristine, untouched territory. The walls here are covered with enormous sea sponges and are home to numerous fish species and other marine creatures that don’t hide — likely because they have never seen humans before. The enormous quantity and diversity of fish found here can hardly be matched anywhere else in the Caribbean Sea. The route passes through sandy shallows and walls dropping to 300 meters with coral columns and arch formations. Weather permitting, stops at Samana Cay, Conception, Rum Cay, and San Salvador Islands are possible.
