Gaafu Alifu (North Huvadhoo) is one of the most remote and least-explored atolls of the Maldives. Located in the equatorial channel between the central and southern atoll chains, Gaafu Alifu benefits from nutrient-rich currents that attract a diversity of marine life.
The atoll’s channels are home to grey reef sharks, eagle rays, and large schools of pelagic fish. The outer reef walls drop steeply into deep water. Pristine thilas in the lagoon host macro life and cleaning stations. The remoteness ensures uncrowded dive sites and a true expedition feel. Few liveaboards visit this atoll, making each encounter feel special.
