Anambas is a small archipelago in the southern part of the South China Sea, located between Malaysia and Borneo. The total area is about 50 square kilometers. The archipelago’s remoteness from main diving routes makes it one of the least-explored destinations in Indonesia. The main attractions are impressive wrecks. The tanker Seven Skies was scuttled vertically: the top at 32 meters, the base at 67 meters, spanning approximately 150 meters in length. The cargo ship Igara, sunk in 1973, lies on its side on the bottom. In October, manta rays and whale sharks appear in Anambas waters, making this the best time to visit.
