3 room types · over 50 sites for macro and muck diving dive sites · house reef
Buceo Anilao is built into the slope above the water at San Teodoro, in the town of Mabini, Batangas — this is Anilao, the best known macro region in the Philippines. Manila is about two hours away by road, so plenty of guests come for just three or four nights between flights.
The resort is a cluster of yellow cabanas in a tropical garden: 23 rooms in three categories, an infinity pool above the sea, a restaurant facing the sunset, a bar, and the Sanctuary — a panoramic deck with daily massage. The grounds run up the hillside, so the further rooms mean a climb.
People come here for the critters. Anilao is called the nudibranch capital of the world: more than six hundred species of nudibranch, five kinds of octopus including the blue-ringed, rhinopias, frogfish, ghost pipefish, rare shrimp and crabs, pygmy seahorses. More than fifty dive sites cover macro, muck, wide-angle coral gardens, a sunken floating casino and the house reef, Buceo Point — one of the best muck sites in the area. The resort itself lists a night dive on the house reef among the highlights.
Blackwater is a chapter of its own. Anilao is considered the epicentre of the format: at night the largest animal migration on the planet rises from the deep, and your torch beam picks out translucent larval octopus, squid and fish you will never meet on a daytime reef.
The PADI dive centre runs on an unlimited basis: up to four dives a day, 12-litre tanks with INT/DIN (15-litre on request), nitrox on site, and traditional Filipino bangka boats that dock straight onto the resort beach. Photographers get their own setup — a camera room with eighteen workstations, outlets, lockers, air guns and four fully matted rinse tubs, plus an air-conditioned classroom.
No markup
You pay exactly the rate the resort publishes. On top of that, only the actual bank costs of currency conversion and the international transfer — no commission of ours.
We run the deal
Correspondence with the resort, holding the room, the contract, booking confirmation and all paperwork are on our side. There is nothing for you to arrange yourself.
Card payment
We accept payment by card through Stripe and issue an invoice. The transfer to the resort is our job — you do not have to find a way to pay abroad.
Support all the way
We help you choose the room and dates, work out the dive package, answer questions about flights and gear, and stay in touch until you are home.
The exact amount is confirmed when we hold your booking: it includes the resort's rate at the day's exchange rate plus the actual transfer costs. No hidden fees.
Unlimited diving is charged by the day: $136 a day for 3–8 days and $126 from nine days up. You can also take a package for a set number of dives, anywhere from one to sixteen. Blackwater, the Verde Island trip, a private guide and a private boat are charged separately, and the bigger the group the cheaper each diver's share. The Sanctuary fee is $7 per person per day.
Breakfast comes with the room. Lunch and dinner are $40 a day per person or $20 per meal. The resort specifically recommends the à la carte menu for guests travelling alone.

Rates and availability can change. Message us — we will confirm current dates and prices.
The resort runs all year and splits the calendar only by price: from July to September accommodation is about a third cheaper, from October to June it is high season. The water is coolest from December to May at 24–28 °C, and 27–29 °C through summer and autumn. Nudibranchs and the rest of the macro life are there year-round, and blackwater runs in any month.
Fly into Manila (MNL). From there it is all overland — Anilao is about two hours away, with no domestic flight involved.
The resort handles transfers itself: an insured van with a driver costs $150 each way per vehicle for a party of up to six, or $300 return. If you make your own way to Batangas Grand Terminal, the van from there is $75 each way. Transfers run around the clock, so a night arrival is no problem.
Reservations are held with a 30% deposit, with the balance due 45 days before arrival. Groups of three rooms or more pay a 50% deposit with the balance 60 days out. Cancellation: 45–31 days out forfeits 25% of the invoice, 30–15 days 50%, and later or no-show the full amount.
Extras are per person and paid on site.
